Vision: a vibrant community that transforms conflict through conversation.

Mission: To transform conflict and build community through face-to-face dialogue programs.

Conflict and crime are inevitable in our community. But they can also be opportunities for positive change.

Advoz works in our community ecosystem, both downstream when harm occurs and upstream to prevent conflicts from getting worse.
Advoz uses different dialogue methods in our community ecosystem, both downstream when harm occurs (restorative justice), mid-stream when it’s occurring (mediation) and upstream to prevent conflicts from getting worse (training).

Through time-tested dialogue methods, Advoz equips our community to constructively handle conflicts, violence and crime. With more than 30 years of experience serving now approximately 900 youth and adults, businesses and organizations each year, Advoz enhances communication, accountability and mindfulness, empowering parties in a conflict or crime, even offenders and victims, to mend broken relationships, find resolution, and build stronger, safer communities. Together, we can:

  • Facilitate healing of youth and adults who may have harmed others or been harmed by violence and/or crime;
  • Mediate resolution of challenging situations among families, neighbors, and institutions;
  • Train teachers, counselors and administrators in restorative justice practices as an inclusive approach to discipline and community building.

Your involvement is a long-term investment in the future of our community where hundreds of people in conflict can move on to productive lives and healthy relationships. The alternatives–excessive use of a combative and punitive legal system–are far more costly to us all, both now and in the long term. Join hundreds of other community members who volunteer and donate to transform conflict into positive change.
