Advoz Restorative Justice Programs in Lancaster, PA

Community Circles provide a safe and welcoming environment for people from all walks of life to come together and connect through conversation around various topics. Through open-hearted conversation on the first Tuesday of each month, we aim to foster empathy, understanding, and a sense of shared humanity. The months’ topics are as follows:

  • February 3rd: “Cultural Heritage” – Traditions, recipes, or stories passed down through your family.
  • March 3rd: “The Roots of Home” – What does “community” mean to you? Is it a place, a feeling, or a group of people?
  • April 7th: “Finding Purpose” – Finding meaning in our daily routine beyond work or chores.
  • May 5th: “What Brings You Here?” – Exploring personal stories of your deep motivation.
  • June 2nd: “Life Transitions” – The challenges and joys of navigating new chapters, jobs, aging, empty nesting, or moving.
Creative Crossroads Playback Theatre Community Conversation

We are living in a moment of conflict, division and isolation, globally, nationally and sometimes also locally.

How can we use creative tools for constructive conversation to connect with the humanity — and diversity — in our community in such a time?

Join us for a series of conversation-storytelling-performances with both facilitated dialogue by Advoz and honored audience storytelling by River Crossing Playback Theatre. Come to connect with neighbors and together wrestle with the question: what kind of community do we want to be?

Four Sundays in 2026 ~ 3-5 PM

  • February 1 – Part 1: Surprising Stories (rescheduled from Jan. 25)
  • February 22 – Part 2: Deeper Discussions
  • March 29 – Part 3: Part 3: Weaving Our Ways
  • May 3 – Concluding Convo and Potluck

This project is made possible with funding from the Walters Trust and Lancaster County Local Journalism Fund.
